Proposal

For this project we were asked to look for ways movie makers use green screens to make movies while also looking to create a greenscreen of our own, my idea is to create and funny pokemon fight montage to make people laugh, ill be adding pop culture such as faze and snoop dogg. ill hopefully achieve good editing and good audio control. The project hopefully will be enjoyable and hopefully will turn out the way i want it to.

Editing

During the greenscreen acting ours didnt work due to we had kai wrapped in a green screen and it had to many shadows that the effect wouldnt work well so we had to scrap our first idea and steal footage from someone else. During the editing we had many effects we had to play around with such as the Ultra Key and transitions. There was alot of editing I did to create my work such as getting various other moving images with greenscreen back grounds and had to edit the sounds added with them.

Audio

I put all my audio files on to seprate tracks on the time line so it is easier to go into the mixer and edit the sound individually. we had to control the music levels to about -12 so it would not harm the viewers ears that are listening to it. I kept them on sperate track too allow for further editing and and to change the volume to the track.

Eval

For this project we were put into group to create a video using green screen effects, in my group i had Kai and Dom but due to our greenscreen effects not working we had to borrow footage from other students and i asked Leah, Yasmine and Abbis pokemon fight greenscreen and i added an MLG touch to it instead of copying them and ripping off their work i decided to make it with my own unique touch.

Greenscreen is an effect alot of film makers fine essential to uses due to the amount of quality it brings to your work, the idea is to film a moving image in front of a blank green canvas and using simple editing software you can put things in the background like and image of a castle of various other effects, movies such as Harry Potter and The Lord Of The Rings used a lot of green screen for effects like fire and background such as castles and dungeons.

To create the project I first started off with making a skeleton edit which is just a rough chronological order of my film, i then grabbed all the resources from youtube such as other green screen effects and i took images off google images for the back ground. I then planned out what i am going to create before i started editing. To add the back ground i first had to go into the effects and you into keys folder and find ultra-key and add ed to the green screen footage and using the pipette tool i clicked on the green background this selects the colour that is being replaced, make sure the footage is on top of the image on the timeline so it appears in the back ground then using the scaling tool i made it fit behind, i did the same routine for all of my effects and images.

i really enjoyed the creative aspect of this project as with every moment of making the video i found it fun and laughed the entire time making it which help me become motivated to finish the project early how ever it did stop me from creating my blog post which fell me behind, if i could change anything it would be the time length of the actually video so i could add more effects and more entertainment in the project and i would also change the quality of my work as it seems pretty blurred and bad quality. I didnt spend too much time on the sound as i thought it was good enough but looking back i think maybe editing it abit more would of been good
